During this
expedition we came to realise that the Tjimba and Himba are
the masters and owners of the Baynes Mountains. They stay in a
place rich in plant and animal life. We also got a first-hand
impression about the way the local Tjimba and Himba people
live during our expedition to the area. They shared with us
their knowledge of nature and we were able to learn a lot from
them.
On this expedition we discovered their large and beautiful "shopping
centre" – nature! With the indigenous knowledge of this people
we found plenty of different useful plants and learned how to
use these for various pupuses like food, medicine, cosmetics,
etc.
